What options do people find themselves using to counter tanks/armor and monsters/high toughness?

Index only options (TSons pure) = Helbrutes vs Predators vs ‘Fiends?

I take it that without the hellbrute stratagem Predators are the better buy.

What about ForgeWorld options?

Renegade Knights?

Something I’m missing?

After much thought and some testing, I can tell you that:

-Helbrutes are really good with the Stratagem, but we don't usually have many command points, so... Meh.
-DiscoPreds are pretty reliable, but not particularly sturdy, and the damage track can hurt their output badly, and depending on the list you're up against, this can happen pretty fast, pretty often.
-FW options are pretty good in general, a lot to choose from, and some real gems in the area we lack the most, long-range AT.
-I think a Knight is usually too big of a points sink and I prefer cheapter options, but they can be pretty powerful, especially double battle-cannon in my experience.

And finally, I think Rapiers would be a very good option for us, but we can't take it, unfortunately.

Indeed, and without Daemonforge the Fiends just suck. Which leaves you with Predators and of course, Smite.

I don't know about ForgeWorld, but Renegade Knights are definitely NOT worth their points in the shooting department.

I use Disco Preds mostly. The Chariot is good as long as you get the shots off (a touch squishy).

Regarding FW: Xiphon Interceptor and Deredeo are top notch. One is great for Anti-Tank (Xiphon) and the other can take a lot of shots to peel wounds or murder hordes.

Stupid FW...
