In the beginning ...

Hey all. Awhile back I started a lot about the progress of a Zone Mortalis force that I didn’t fully finish and also forgot about doing updates for. My bad. So to make things even more harder to finish I have done the incredibly smart thing and added around 4,000 more points of stuff to the ever growing to be painted pile.

To start things off here are my Veterans. Sergeants are the first on the left followed by two Heavy Bolter dudes and then seven regular dudes. Will be adding the Bolters, and additional combat weapons and holstered bolt pistols later on. At the moment I’m separating everything that I’m undercoating white and black. Hoping it will make it easier to paint as I’m looking for methods to streamline the yellow process.

Really liking the Legion upgrade kits as they bring a lot of character to the model. The idea I am going for is to have the Veterans with the kits in MK3 while the regular Tacticals and Support squads will be in MK4. Heavy support squads will be MK3 as Fists Heavy squads get a nice additional boost to utility.

This is the Praetor/Centurion/Alexis Polux(stand in). Reused the Legion Champion model and a few other pieces. May change the power pack to a regular MK3 but not sure yet, what do you guys think?

Big stuff. A Spartan, Storm Eagle and one of three Medusas. Also a Deredeo with weapon options.
