To clarify, cultists can use the CSM stratagem if a CSM detachment is present in your army? They do not get to use the stratagem just for having them in your DG detachment? It made it sound like having a detachment is what unlocks the stratagems, not just a unit.

That's right, Teun135.

Old news. :laugh.:

Poxwalker stratagem is not free. Where's you even get that?

There were some :cuss saying that in order to get guys back from the Dead Walk Again Stratagem you need to pay for them.

To be fair though, until the FAQ that would have been the baseline assumption, since it's how everything else works because "oh no free points, not fair"

To be fair so far you only need to pay points when you are creating a new unit, not when you are adding models to a unit. So it was kinda to be expected. ^^

Had it also been made clear previously that you can increase unit size over it's starting size so long as you have the models? Not that it will happen often anyway but it's now clear.

PW can increase the size of their unit above it's starting strength.

Ah, he said it didn't cost command points to use, which was my issue.

Not specifically to the Poxwalkers, but it's never been necessary anyway and has always been clear. If anyone actually read the Reinforcement Points, they'd realize it says adding or replacing units costs you reinforcement points, and has nothing to do with adding or replacing models. If the latter were the case, every apothecary/healer dude that returns models to life would also need this exact same FAQ entry, but they don't, because it doesn't. Same here, this FAQ entry is just for those that don't read. ;)

The question is if having the models is necessary. The tervigon has always traditionally forced you to possess the necessary termagant models and disallowed proxies

That's no question. Proxies are proxies. Of course you need the proper models in an environment where proxies generally aren't allowed.

So if I understand correctly, we can go above the maximum allowed starting 20 poxwalkers in the unit through this curse mechanic ? While the rule doesn't forbid it, and you can start with 20, the data sheet does limit unit size to 20.

Then again, the data sheet specifies minimum size at the beginning of a game, but the unit is not removed should it fall under that size during the game, so I'd opt for being able to go above 20.

Or am I the only one concerned with this? :D
