The last boxed set was literally only last year. Saying that Horus Heresy will never get anything ever again is really, REALLY premature.

Now obviously both Specialist Games and Forgeworld will be very busy for some time with Primaris, Blood Bowl, Necromunda and Adeptus Titanicus. But GW is clearly in experimentation mode as their business has exploded in the past year or so. If things ever slow down for them, they’ve probably got some plastic Horus Heresy ideas held behind glass, with a “break for emergency sales” sign.

I think good inspiration for a new Horus Heresy game would be "The Master of Mankind", war in the webway novel!

I can see Custodes, Sisters of Silence and Mechanicum against Demons, DP's or maybe ghosted marines already in the warp.

Haven't any ideas for rules, but for laughs, it being the warp and webway it could use parts from all of the last few boards they've put out.

I could see a War in the Webway scenario using the Custodians and Sisters of Silence rules published in White Dwarf or something, but I strongly doubt they're going to redo those figures.

I could believe Mk II or Mk V Assault squads or Despoilers, depending on whether or not GW wants people to have to buy their own jump-packs. ;)

They wouldn’t need to re-do the minis. I mentioned earlier that they might release something like this as a stop-gap. Kinda like they did with Shadows over Hammerhal. Same game mechanics, new setting, no new minis required - easy win for GW.
