Bloods Claws and Grey hunters packs

Hi Fellow Wolves

 

Has any one used Blood claws or Grey hunters but upgraded the Wolf Guard Battle leader to have a storm shield does it make much of a difference with regard to saves or due to the amount of CC attacks that get thrown around now does it get just get swamped of the field.

It really depends. Most of the time, PA units are hit with AP0 and AP-1, so it won't really make that big of and impact. That said, if you see them getting hit with several high AP wounds, that SS can make a huge difference overall. I typically give them a SS because it makes that unit just a bit more durable, and for just 5 pts.

It is a gamble. That SS might save several plasma gun shots or you might roll a 1-2 the first time you use it. I guess for 5 points it is worth a go but you are giving up the chance to give the WG offensive wargear.
