Do folks add the little crew guys to their Basilisks and Wyverns and what-not?  It seems like it would be a great visual effect, but I'm not sure if it's worth the investment since I'd have to buy another unit of Krieg to fully staff my 3 Wyverns and 2 Basilisks.  Thoughts, or better yet, pictures? :D

Personally I don't, in fact I don't even put up the hand railings (as I find they're too easily snapped off)
Although I'm sure it would look great if you did, you could always just paint some regular Cadians for the job as they are just tank "crew", add some respirators to them to keep with the theme

TBH I don't recall seeing many other Guard players using them either.

Personally if I ever decide to use open top artillery such as these, I would use some guys on them. Though I aint got enough dkk to make it so they would also need to be gunners (i do however have artillery crew from heavy mortars i could use now h.mortar and quad launchers are kind of not meta). I would consider using anvil industries regiments range, they might look different, but you could just say they are an attached artillery support company or some such, a fair bit cheaper and you also get a bit better model posing in my view.

The single reason I would do it is for the cool posing as a "centrepiece" model, because when you do it, you gotta do it in style :)

Well, I guess I can always just use one of my 120 infantry models and just plunk it down on the vehicle when I'm using it.  Only issue is that my chimera-chassis vehicles are urban camo vs. the desert theme of the line infantry, which I was going to take advantage of with the new regimental rules.  So I'd have to paint the crew in a matching scheme to the vehicles to differentiate them from the foot brigade.

If I had the time and motivation, I'd probably build enclosures for my basilisks so I can run them as Armageddon pattern for that +1T and +1W, and then scratch-build some platforms for the basilisk guns themselves.

What he said. Because I totally didn’t break off the hand railings from three Basilisks over the years. It was completely on purpose... -_-

I have had several good opportunities to buy the old metal crews from conventions or store sell offs. Couldn’t really justify the added weight and space when there were already three large pistol cases of metal models being lugged around.

Gotta give you props Withershadow for approaching this from a aesthetics prespective.
