Named characters and points... simple rules question

Hi guys,

 

Just occurred to me that I have no idea the answer to what would seem a very simple army construction question.

 

Obviously in 8th we pay the points for all models and thier war gear independently, irrespective of whether it is “standard” on the data sheet...

 

My question is how does this apply to named characters. E.g Dante is 190pts, must he then in addition pay for his inferno pistol? I presume the axe mortalis is free given there is no entry for it..

Dante is 215 as per the Index, little confused as to where 190 comes from.

 

The table does say 'including wargear' though, as opposed to 'does not include wargear'.

Got it, I see now where it says “includes”.

 

No idea where I got 190 from! Bad memory :).
