Xisor
I shan't say too much in detail about the plot of the story, but I will say this: it's an incredibly compelling listen. Pretty critical lore-nuggets for Adeptus Mechanics fans too, I'd contend. I bought the CD for painting to a few weeks back, and listened to it almost immediately. I've not been able to get it out of my head for long! The voices of the tech-priests are done fantastically well. Chilling, almost. Doesn't match my vision of how things would go, but it's an incredible depiction nonetheless. More than that, it gets more into the weeds of Machine Cult politics than I think we've ever really been before. (Short of the bit in Matt Farrer's Legacy, which [indeed: it and it's preceding novel Crossfire] is also very worth a look.) There's a real swathe of factions involved, as well as some really rather moving pieces. Hell, even the incidental/backing music was really neat. Anyone else listened to it? Heliomanes
Absolutely. A worthy continuation of "Mechanicum". Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/340482-the-binary-succession/#findComment-4910742 Share on other sites
