Background:

I am working on a small Alpha Legion project, using Intercessors as true scale marines so that I get the visual scale I am looking for when matched up to regular human models.

I am using <Primaris> rules to represent them from a gaming perspective.

Every now and then I think about creating some Lernaean Terminators (small squad of 3-5), but I'm not sure what figs might provide the appropriate scaling up from the Primaris models.

Questions I have:

1. Does anyone have pics of Primaris next to Cataphractii termies? If they look bigger/bulkier, I can always make them a little taller, but I don't want them to look puny next to the Primaris.

2. If Cataphractii aren't the answer, any suggestions? If at all possible, I would prefer to not use standard termies.

3. Plastic would also be a preference, in the unlikely event that I feel like one squad isn't enough and I have to have two or three.

Thanx in advance!

I'll snap a pic when I get home, but Primaris have Cataphractii beat. I wouldn't take too much to being the Cataphactii into scale though. 1mm or 1.5mm under the feet and 2mm blob of GS in the waist joint would do most of the work.

Alternatively, you work from a Gravis base and add Termintor pieces, like a back piece.

Cheers,

Jono

Not quite the answers you are looking for, but betrayer41 has been making trru-ish scale terminators using AoS parts

Here is 1 of his terminators beside a primaris.

Not sure if this helps.

Different kit, but I tried upscaling Tartaros compared to primaris and they were still quite teeny in comparison. The best advice I'd have is to either heavily heavily modify the Cataphractii, use the plastic gravis as a base (agressors?), or you could probably make something work with a lot of conversion work and a base of either Custodes or Stormcast Eternals.
