Styx666
"This model can fire its Blackstar cluster launcher as it flies over enemy units in its Movement phase. To do so, after this model has moved, pick one enemy unit that it flew over. Then roll one D6 for each model in the enemy unit (up to a maximum of 10 D6). Each time you roll a 6 the unit being bombed suffers 1 mortal wound."Can it target a unit in melee with another unit? Gentlemanloser
Yes. As it's not the shooting phase. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/340703-can-corvus-blackstars-bomb-units-engaged-in-melee/#findComment-4915633 Share on other sites
Ciler
More specifically, this isn't a shooting attack, it is a special ability which states explicitly how the target is chosen (much like smite, for instance). And the target selection rules are rather straightforward : "one enemy unit that it flew over". As nothing further is specified there is no reason to apply a limitations to units that would be less than 1" away from friendly units.
