Jamesb_05
has anyone used soul grinders to a mild degree of success? Bought two before the edition change, but they look so :cuss for the points, and I'm just wondering if I'm missing something. bozo69pd
I have not used mine, but they can be powered up with buffs pretty well to get more mileage out of them. I am pretty sure alpha strike lists would just murder the hell out of them though. MasterDeath
I think the question is: What do you want it to do? I personally see it as a strong melee unit for cracking tanks and monsters, not infantry. The shooting is just iceing on the cake. And you can summon it, saving it from a good amount of shooting. But still, its way to expensive. I see a good cost decrease in the codex coming there, just like for the Defiler. So, I would use it like this: Keep the Grinder(s) as reserve points and summon it on your first turn, probably spending a CP. Funny enoungh, CPs are quiet cheap for daemons to come by. (3 CP per ~500 points is possible) Shoot a bit, but getting into a juicy target has priority. Standing still is not an option. For allegiances, Tzeentch and Nurgle are the best by far.
