Maybe a Servo skull instead of the head? I think the ones from the Scion box could be made so the cables are coming out of the neck. I'm not sure if that would be more or less freaky than the Cadian heads... Seriously, these things give me the shivers!

You have to use them as something. Maybe make loads of them and use them as unwilling conscripts? Just never play me, I couldn't concentrate with 30 of those things coming at me over the table...

I feel there's too little human in them to really get the body horror across, tbh. I think the creepiest part about Ad Mech stuff like Servitors is that you can mostly see the human, but they're half-machine, blank-eyed, lobotomised. These guys are so encased that it's hard to really see them as more than just unusual robots, to be fair.

I mean if you look at the Tech Priest Dominus and the like, even the most augmented models still have withered, fleshy parts added in to show that this monstrosity was once human. Kataphrons are even less subtle about it.

Just imagine them speaking with children's voices. I'm sure that would help your concentration.

Well, it seems like some people in this thread would disagree.

You may have a point though. Do you think adding a shrivelled arm or such would help, or are you thinking of something else?

I still like the idea of a really shrivelled arm holding a laspistol but I get why you don't want that.

You know, I initially thought that I hadn't got any shrivelled arms, but then I remembered that I've got dozens of spare Ghoul arms from my old Vampire Counts army.

If I did place an arm or two on them, where do you think would be the best place?

They kinda of look like the creatures from Chronicles of Riddick. That they used to hunt Tussock down on the Necromonger Mothership. They look awesome. I'd be OK with it. They ate in different stages of augmentation.
