I'm not sure I completely understand your question, but yes, they are different. The paints are unique to Forge World's line, and the colors and consistency will be unique to FW paint as well. You probably can find a close color match or mix your own match with those other brands, but if you're asking if you'll find the exact same paints from GW or Vallejo, no, you won't.

GW's white lid AoS metallics and Vallejo Model Air and Vallejo Metallic Color golds are all very nice as well, if you don't want to use FW golds.

I was looking to purchase the FW golds as the gw air golds are pretty lomited.

Also on the SW transfer sheet half the decals are gold, but the gold colour of the transfer sheet does not match any gw golds that I have (normal or air paint).

I was curious to know if anyone had the FW paint to know if the FW gold colour was the same as GW's gold paints just rebranded or if they are a totally different gold colour (which might match the gold used on the FW decal sheets).

I was considering vallejo as I have been impressed with their paints and they would help cover the gap in GW's air range for golds.

I've always preferred Vallejo golds over the GW/FW ones, and have recently bought some from Scale 75. They do a handy alchemy paint set - http://scale75.com/en/scalecolor-range/181-metal-and-alchemy-golden-paint-set.html. Am yet to try it in anger though.

I don't have a SW sheet to compare to, but looking at it online I don't think the Thallax is any where near close. To my eye, IRL it looks as though someone dumped copper into it. The Valor gold looks much closer to your transfers, though it also misses the mark IRL for a true gold to me. Personally I like the Vallejo metal color far better.
