Soon I will striping off my Cadians and repainting then to better further the glory of Modian. I am going to be going with a red/light grey scheme. I am uncertain how to paint the tanks though. I don’t think that the usual camo patterning would match the clean lines of the Mordian Infantry. I would appreciate seeing some examples of how other people have painted their Mordian tanks.

Normally I've always seen Mordians painted in various dark/navy blues, with black, white, red and yellow used for picking ouot small details and generally brightening the scheme a little.

For Mordian tanks, I've usually seen dark blue and black urban camo, dark to mid grey urban camo, and even plain dark or blue-grey for that early WW2 German tank look.

A very few people do the Mordian tanks in very pale greys or whites though, presumably leaning on a "parade ground" appearance like the Mordians themselves?

Personally, I've always liked the darker blue-grey-black urban camo schemes. I think it helps the army look reasonably cohesive when taken with the usual Mordian Dress Blues, and yet is still distinctive enough for the infantry to stand out.

Behind from a perpetual night-twilight hiveworld the option to forgo camo Is an option. After 20 years I never fully finished a Tank. My scheme is a black base with horizontal unconformed hunter green lines. Something to break silhouettes in low light without providing much reflection.

The trick to make your tanks look good on a parade ground is to use oil to make them darker and shinier. It completely defeats the purpose of camouflage. So you could do standard camouflage colors and patterns, but give them a gloss coat to make them stand out.

My tanks are Red + White which offer a nice contrast to my Blue / Red Mordians, but at the time when I was painting them I didn't consider them to be a Mordian regiment

Colour scheme wise I had contemplated a blue/grey + maroon colour scheme, some what muted vs the Mordian Blue + Red.

I would probably avoid Camouflage patterns on Mordian tanks, pattern wise I'd probably do mostly solid Blue/Grey with some Solid Red "blocks" or lines on the front / side of the tanks, 80/20 split

If you're going with white and red (Praetorian-style scheme), then I think a light grey (perhaps with some white and red coloured panels or accents) would look pretty good. Example of something similar here. I would also do them in a plain colour rather than camo, so that it matches the troops non-camo style a bit more.

Thanks for the tip. That looks like a good scheme to me.
