TheShredder
I'd quite like to use the Aquila sometime, but I'm really unsure how to model it (aside from splashing out on Inquisitor Coteaz and pinching his eagle). How do you guys represent this thing on your characters? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/340988-modelling-kurovs-aquila/ Share on other sites

Tyr13
^what he said. For standard play, I wouldnt model a relic. If youd really want to, you *could* convert a character, but generally it seems kind of pointless. Especially if you run a metal regiment like me. :P(mind you, it can still be a fun project.) If you do want to model it, I could see it being based on a blinged-out servo skull though. Altasmurf
I would use the skull thingy from the scions sprue and find an aquilla to stick to it. walter h 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/340988-modelling-kurovs-aquila/#findComment-4922939 Share on other sites
walter h
You could use a standard bearer. The aquilla, would be atop it,with laurels placed near the commander,or on the same base say a 32mm. I wouldn't have a problem with it. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/340988-modelling-kurovs-aquila/#findComment-4923163 Share on other sites
TheShredder
The thing is, I thought it was supposed to be an actual servitor - not just a small sigil. mertbl
It's a big galaxy, you can probably pick them up from your local gas station. It is listed as a servitor two headed eagle thingy. So you aren't far off. H311fi5h
Maybe you can take the servo skull from the command squad sprue and add some wings from an imperial eagle from the vehicle sprue to it. Then it could follow your officer around the battlefield, either on the same base, or on a separate one and you simply ignore it for any interaction with other models. walter h 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/340988-modelling-kurovs-aquila/#findComment-4924440 Share on other sites
CCE1981
Get a model with a large cloak and paint a large Aquila on it. There are a ton of Regiments in 40k, you just need your item to stand out. The relics description is in the fluff verbage so make it what you want.
