lord gunthar
I'm planning on assembling my Mortarion tomorrow and I was wondering if it was necessary to paint him in subassemblies? I'm a relatively slow painter so I would like to be able to get him on the tabletop before he's painted Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/341008-mortarion-assembly/ Share on other sites
TempestBlade
I did mine in ~8 subassemblies. All kind of depends on how detailed you want to get. I could see doing legs and torso, right side robes with right arm attached, left side robe with left arm attached, head, and then both wings off. I’ve seen people build everything and then paint too tho so up to you. Dagoth Ur
I painted my mortarion in 5 subassemblies: Torso(Legs and head already build with it), Right Arm, Left Arm, and the two wings. Worked out pretty good. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/341008-mortarion-assembly/#findComment-4923271 Share on other sites
Atia
My subassemblies were: - Legs+body part - parts of his robes (the two big ones and the "banner part") - Wings each - Flames - Head (two parts for better painting the face), cables - Chains - Nurglings (I even painted the winged ones in subassemblies) - Base - Arms + Weapons Ishagu and Aothaine 2 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/341008-mortarion-assembly/#findComment-4923292 Share on other sites
