Maybe I’m the odd man out but I don’t want the Lion. I love Daemon Primarchs in 40K but the Loyalists are better MIA, in my opinion.

Plus, I absolutely know that FW will do a better job on the model than GW, so I’d rather wait for that.

Ah, let’s be honest - I’d buy both.

As for the rules being made up? It’s a case of the story getting slightly distorted with every telling. Maybe the guy who came up with it was genuinely and openly wishlisting but by the time it gets to us, it’s “fact”.

The CP rule makes me think it's fake more than anything else tbh. It seems like one of those things given to Gulliman because of his whole organisation/command schtick, thus the Ultramarine trait as well. This reads as the faker missing the point and taking it as a 'thing for all loyalist Primarchs' and slapping it on.

interesting enough though, is that if they do plan on releasing a 4th part of that whole gathering storm thing, we do need closure on the whole cypher thing after he escaped from Terra without killing the emperor.  So you know, some of this might be true.  Anyway, guess we will find out soon enough!

Why would some butthole make these rules up?

Were you around for the massive BA rules "leak" about 5 years back or so? Maybe even longer- could have been closer to 8.  Guy developed incredible divergent fluff for a split in ideology led by two characters in the BA faction - allowed for two unique playstyles - forum was a frenzy.  Turned out to be all entirely made up.  Also, they released an entire codex, complete with dataslates- the work.

Some people just want attention man.

Bols.. heh, bols. Nothing reliable there. Saying there is another gathering storm in the works is like saying GW will release more models next year.

Jonson is low hanging fruit now that there is a DA codex on the horizon. Everyone is claiming to have a source, figuring the odds of it being true are in their favor.

I remain skeptical.

...Not being rude, but the original poster having a grand total of 18 posts doesn't fill me with great amounts of trust... if it were Atia or some other closer to home leaker i'd feel more trusting...

I'd love The lion to come out but sooo not holding my breath...

He wasn't the original source of the rumors, just posting them. They were all over the 40k communities on Saturday.

But yeah, they're most likely fake.

What makes me think the Lion is next is Cypher's whole involvement with the Gathering Storm in the first place. All he did was break Guilliman out of jail and then just followed him to Terra without much mention. They could have easily had the story without Cypher, but they didn't. So either GW has something planned for Cypher that as far as I'm concerned has to be connected to the Lion, or GW writers need to consider the relevance of their story arcs better.

or GW writers need to consider the relevance of their story arcs better.

This seems the more likely option really.

Good point though. Why tie him to the Gathering Storm when he would have sold just as well alone, alongside the codex release?

Speaking of which, this seems the right time to release him seperately. I hope so, he’s the only part of the Triumvirate I want.

Cor, isn't that heretical? I think you should see Asmodai in cell 42 for debriefing...

That Cypher model IS damn cool, but I just cannot get myself to get him, afterall, he's a borderline traitor...

With regards to the rumours, when I read the article on BoLS, I felt they had to be true (and I don't typically trust everything on BoLS). To me it makes sense that they would release the Lion, afterall, even GW won't give primarchs to one side of the table and not the other...

We've had rumours for a long time about a primarch coming, and right now it's 2-1 for the traitors. More or less all of those rumours have been pointing towards the Lion as the most likely candidate for the next loyalist primarch, and it just makes sense (to me) that they'd do something big (sort of soon). He might not arrive along with the codex, but a Q1 release could easily be on the cards.

I am intrigued with the idea of a possible new "getting started" set for the Dark Angels. Every army is getting one with their Codex, and it has been a while since the old Dark Angels Battle Force, or the Dark Vengeance sets. I wonder, if they release a box set, and they probably will since they do with every new army and codex, what said set might bring.

Maybe they will go the same way as the old Battle Force (full ravenwing attack squadron), or maybe they will give us a small 1st and 2nd company task force?
