Droz_64
I was reading my copy of Extermination, and I saw the Tactical Strike rules. It's like Kill Team, in 30k, with mixed units/legions. Has anyone tried it? And is it fun? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/341261-anyone-tried-tactical-strike-form-hh3/ Share on other sites
Marcus Arias
I tried it in a campaign last year, a group of us were starting the Heresy and it gave us a good opportunity to try out the Kill Team style rules. It was awesome, we took the ruleset and the missions and ran with it. We modified the hero requirements slightly and with campaign points you could add attributes like +1 Str or Eternal Warrior to your leader. If theres a few people in your area its worth a try. Brofist
My group condensed all the Tactical Strike and Victory is Vengeance rules together into a google document, made a few adjustments based on playtesting, and also integrated some of the tweaks from the Adepticon rules pack. We've playtested this version a number of times and it's great- really fast games and a fun introduction to the heresy. The core rules are pretty good by themselves, but they are dense and there are few problem areas: the hero roles aren't very balanced, there are no FoC restriction, how special rules confer isn't super clear, legions with benifits in challenges aren't represented, and it's possible to 'fail cascade' due to the injury/campaign system. Still it's fun and highly recommended. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1W3CCOVtzOgjRAo-DY1KDS1NWjRaZShJHx4GtesoWujo/edit?usp=sharing Edited November 28, 2017 by Bulbafist Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/341261-anyone-tried-tactical-strike-form-hh3/#findComment-4944666 Share on other sites
