Hello.

I like the Orks, everyone knows that, because green is best.

I want to make my own Ork army, and use some tanks.

However, these tanks are too expensive, so I don't think I can get the balance of infantry and vehicles right.

Also, Imperial vehicles, while not as cool-looking, shoot better. We can't hit anything.

For such bad shooting, they cost a lot of points, so I run out of points for the rest of my army too easily.

How'd I do at translating? I do agree there doesn't really seem to be much of a question here.

That seems to be pretty close to my mental translation, Lord_Caerolion. Anyway, I think GreyCrow is wondering how the rest of us use our vehicles.

In general, I use mine as a delivery mechanism for stuff. Like Burna Boyz in a Trukk. I don't expect my vehicles to do much, other than get up the field and get in the way. If they hit things along the way, bonus.

I use a few trukks right now but I'm not stuck with any one thing. Burna boys in trukks has workd reasonably well for me. I like the battle wagon, the one time so far I've used it. Deff dreads can be good but I'm still relearning my walkers. New edition new rules new way of looking at things. Gorkanaught was mighty in one game but hasn't made it back to the field just yet. I like Killa Kans but 6 wounds isn't really enough. I really need to learn a better way to use them. Artillery, which are vehicles if I recall, fairly durable. Dakka Jet not too bad.

I haven't bothered with the Stompa yet Probably wont for a while.  What else. Deff Koptas and War Trrakks.  They're about the same. Best used in combine actions I've put KMB's on my Deff Koptas and Bit Shootas on my war trakks. I'm plotting on turning a few War trakks into Scorcha trakks.
I think that covers my thoughts on vehicles.

I own too many vehicles that I doubt I'll be able to use abundantly like I did before so I expect I'll be downsizing my Motor pool.

Ork vehicles really are not meant to do much unless you bring the big stompas. Use them to cart your important vehicles to the locations they need to be at. The rest of the boyz can just run up the field. Their ranged weaponry is assault.

If you are trying to make an all dakka army I would suggest loading up on mek guns and the grot batteries then get 3-4 max units of boyz with shootas to protect them and claim objectives.

Expect losses.. but it is not a good battle if a few of the boys don't lose some teeth.

Vehicles for Orks right now are incredibly expensive for their combat output. With our shooting being as bad as it is, most just aren't worth taking. Trukks and Battlewagons are all I would recommend fielding. Loading burnas up in a Truck and zipping them around the board as a mobile support unit/character hunting squad can be effective. The Killtank and Big Trak are also very good, but apparently they are both seeing a massive points hike when Chapter Approved comes out, so I don't know how effective they will be for their new cost.
