Hey guys, looking to be inspired with 40k fluff for DG...

Been listening to Talon of Horus by ADB and I'm loving the way the Chaos marines are portrayed. Real nuance as opposed to frothing mad-men and "I'll get you next time gadget" style villains or berzerkers.

Is there anything similar to this for my boys of the 14th? With their disgusting nature it seems other legions don't really like being around them so it's hard to find that nice inter-legionary banter and talk?

Stormcaller. It's primarily a SW book and there's no inter-traitor banter but the DG are portrayed as a ferociously competent enemy and the main villain has a good bit of nuance. He's a weary, melancholy gardener-sorceror called the Mycelite. All the galaxy is in pain because of entropy; he simply wants to accelerate the process and free everyone from the suffering of life, for their own good. He can't understand why the SW can't see that it's better this way.

It works well because he comes off as having these good intentions, even if they are perhaps not in the mainstream of XIV legion thought as laid out in the codex. Moustache-twirling doesn't come into it.
