Quartermastery [Or the Howling Griffons Project]

So because of frequent requests I've decided to start a WIP thread for my current project, the Howling Griffons. Primaris, for now, with several older models waiting to be repurposed towards the red-yellow bois. More pictures will follow, but seeing as it's dark right now (and my best pictures are made with sunlight), that'll have to come later. Apparently I suck at planning. Or preparation. For now, let me dump what I have.

Quick update: currently working on some more units, and yes, BARRELS WILL BE DRILLED. I even bought a drilly thingy.

 

Also, I'll put up a gryphonrider guide soon. I just feel I can't show it well without having to rebuild them, though, and I lack the funds/materials for it right now. But perhaps soon!

These are great, you've pulled off the quartered scheme beautifully. I'll also add that your Gryphon rider is the only marine I've ever seen riding anything but a bike that I've instantly liked. For some reason it just works.

Battle-Brothers Remus, Dege, Prator, Servus and Castor join ranks! First models I've actually applied transfers to on this scale. Next time, better weathering on the transfers, and more transfers! (Also, I need to stop glueing those chapter icons on cause they're a massive pain to paint - way easier to coat black and glue on later)

Got around to painting my Deredeo for my Griffons - in all it's weathered glory!

 

In case you're wondering what that weird shape behind the helmet is.... It's white-tac. I lost my Deredeo helmet and couldn't get a replacement from FW, so I put a regular Contemptor helmet in, for now. Until I find the missing helmet, or FW comes around and ships me a replacement.
