Multiple uses of same Strategum before turn 1?

Is there a limit to the number of times you can use the same strategum in the deployment phase of the game, or are you still limited to a single use?

 

For example the GK strat Teleportarium.

 

This was bought up tonight by a new Nid strat The Enemy Below.

 

1 CP, a single infantry unit can be placed in reserves in tunnels.

 

Later the strat says "you can also set up any number of units you set up within the tunnels" which implies the ability to use this strat multiple times.

 

Can you?

 

If you can, then what is to stop anyone using the Extra Armoury strat at 1cp cost multiple times to get extra relics cheaper than expected?

The match play rules only limit how many times you can use the same stratagem in a single phase. Stratagems which are not used during a phase are not affected. (Matched Play Mission Rules, rulebook pg 215). Deployment is not a phase (The Battle Round, rulebook pg 176)

 

Any stratagem that isn't used during one of the 6 phases can be used as many times as you want and have command points, unless the stratagem itself has further restrictions. This includes any stratagems you want to use during deployment.

 

I'm not familiar with a stratagem called "Extra Armoury". If you're referring to the Space Marine stratagem Relics of the Chapter, the FAQ added a line restricting it to one use only (all current FAQ linked at https://www.warhammer-community.com/faqs/). The Imperial Commander's Armoury stratagem in the Guard codex has the same one use only restriction. I haven't seen the stratagems from all the codexes, but I'd assume any other "get an extra relic" stratagems have a similar restriction.

I'm unsure of the nid codex. But unless FAQd and i've missed it the GK version has no in built only use once clause.

 

Edit. Yeah it was FAQd for the GK to only be used once.

Yeah i have that problem. Too many designers commentaries alongside the FAQs / Errata.

There is no FAQ, the Matched play mission rules themselves on p215 explain that Stratagems used pre game can be used multiple times.

 

Strategic Discipline

 

The same Stratagem cannot be used by the same player more than once during any single phase. This does not affect Stratagems that are not used during a phase, such as those used 'before the battle begins' or 'at the end of the battle round'.
