I'd prefer experience over math-hammer but understand they both have a place. Right now I'm thinking wyverns and small arms for any poxwalkers or nurglings. Autocannons, lascannons and plasma guns for terminators and drones. Basilisk and manticores for the big guy. They seem really easy to out maneuver. Any thing I'm missing out on? Galron Posted November 17, 2017 Share Posted November 17, 2017 COmmand squads rapid firing out of a chimera with an officer for reroll ones worked fine for me along with a helpful lasgun from a mortar section took out Mortarion. The rest the deathguard can be brought down with standard fire. Knock out the transports and make them walk and shoot them on the way in. I found heavy flamer chimeras and sentinels using catachan doctrines to be very helpful. morroccomole Posted November 17, 2017 Share Posted November 17, 2017 In my last game I snuck a unit of melta vets around the side of the board in a chimera, and dismbarked them near Typhus and a tallyman. If I recall correctly, I think I blammed the tallyman in shooting, and got Typhus with overwatch. The lesson I learned is that poxwalker-heavy DG is a lot like guard, in that if you can kill the enablers, the rest isn't so bad to deal with.
