New DG Series by Chris Wraight

As I said on the thread where this was first posted, very happy about this. I (and many others) have been really passionate about Chris Wraight continuing on with the Death Guard in some capacity since his brilliant use of them and their Primarch in Daemonology, Scars, and Path of Heaven, and even though this is 40k and not 30k, I'm sure it's going to be brilliant. Can't wait.

Any idea on a rough release date?

OMG, finally! Despite the 8th edition releases we had almost no books focusing on the Death Guard in 40K (nor 30K, actually).

Any idea when are these supposed to take place? I haven't read Imperium yet because I'm too busy with the HH and TBA but I will have to pick it up soon if this new series will be related to it.

I'm really curious on who it deals with as the main character and if any of the main Death Guard leaders like Morty, Typhus or even Grulgor feature in it. So can't wait hopefully there will be a limited edition version of the book as I'm a sucker for that sort of thing plus I can show my devotion to Nurgle :D

Looks like we've got a cover for Lord of Silence: https://twitter.com/blacklibrarium/status/982239176320892928

It's showing up on amazon.de as coming out on 2nd August this year: https://www.amazon.de/Warhammer-40-000-Herren-Chris-Wraight/dp/1781932735

A crude google translation confirms it's set post-cicatrix maledictum but otherwise low on details besides the DG being 'haunted by the burden of the past', or something similar.

Hot damn that looks awesome,

So can't wait for it to be out and read this as I can't wait to see how wraight does Death Guard especially post heresy as Plague Marines as no one he really done them at all apart unless they were the enemy in the story

Really like that shoulder pad warband/ chapter icon on that dude with the book looks awesome
