Atrus
Superb artwork! The chestplate bugs me for some reason though. Kinda wish the helnet was off too. Still superb. Servant of Dante
The angle of the neck seems kinda strange, but also reminiscent of European Medieval art I think. I agree the chestplate looks pretty different from the models. The biggest part is, it’s proper Order of the Ebon Chalice colors! Black armour, white robe with red lining, red bolter casing and everything! Would be disappointing to have art labeled as Saint Dominica that doesn’t follow the color scheme for her Order :D Definitely worth posting the the Art of Sisters thread :P Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/341716-excellent-stained-glass-sisters-art/#findComment-4941510 Share on other sites
Ezr91aeL
Beautiful but innacurate: the Sabbath-pattern helmet was developed in M38 when Alicia Dominica was long dead. Servant of Dante
And the chestplate looks even less like a Sisters chestplate than I realized when I first looked at the image :P Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/341716-excellent-stained-glass-sisters-art/#findComment-4942871 Share on other sites
Nicodemus Doloroso
Beautiful but innacurate: the Sabbath-pattern helmet was developed in M38 when Alicia Dominica was long dead. Historical inaccuracy is practically a hallmark of real-world stained glass. There is so much stained glass depicting stuff from the 10th, 11th, 12th century where the people involved are wearing 16th century full plate whereas in real life they would have been wearing chain mail. So I think it's actually fitting.
