wako1302
Thinking of using 3 to 6 of these each with a cheap HQ so that I can add 1 or 2 Spearhead Detachments for the extra CPs. But am I reading/understanding the rules correctly 36pts each Instinctive Behaviour : -1 to hit distant targets without a Synapse Does not need line of site And the one I think is the deal clincher Spore Mine Launcher : Basically I am not over concerned if I miss or have -1 to hit, I still get a mine on the Battlefield. Has anyone tried a Sporocyst ? With the Barbed Strangler weapon it can put out upto 30 Strength 5 AP -1 shots, Can it hold an objective ? Amon777
Biovores are amazing as they are able to put mortal wounds out of LoS for cheap. Not much else you can ask for. Biggest problem is lack of model availability frankly. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/341858-biovores-win-win/#findComment-4947191 Share on other sites
Xenith
Sporocyst: yes, max 30 shots, but average 18 shots, and 6 hits due to BS5+. Stick with the deathspitter. You get 15 shots there, only 3 fewer on average, for half the points. Biovores are great. Move them a millimetre and get the 1 -1 to hit, the spore mine is generally worth it.
