Just thought our Raptor friends would like to know (or any of us who swap to raptors for a shooty RG character), that some crazy how Issodon made it through the Forgeworld hikes un-molested. Honestly a bit baffling considering how strong he his, but I'll take what I can get after the treatment some of the other entries received.

To have 5 levi you would need to take an additional 5 elite choices to meet the requirements for relic so that sort of discounts it.

Not possible at 1850.

Very doable at 2500. Just run 2 Spearheads and a Battalion and take naked Dev squads for the other 5 choices and 3 Scout squads for Troops. 4 Techmarines would both fill the HQ requirements and repair the dreads.

IG mortar teams are heaper, and HS. Keyword Imperium is enough for that. Add a bare chapter master and lieutenant for all the rerolls and call it a day.

Is Master of Ambush Issodon’s warlord trait?

No, its a special rule. His Warlord Trait would be the Raven Guard one.

Warlord traits are the one thing successors don't get forced on them actually. Stratagems and CT each have rules specific text that grants their successor access to them. There isn't a blanket successor rule. The warlord trait rules for named characters make it so must match their current chapter from the table if possible; Raptors isn't there and that's why Crimson Fists/Black Templar have their own while other successors don't. If there was a specific Raptors WLT Issodon would have to take it. It makes sense since not ever successor is just a reskinned version of their parent chapter. Raptors for example are more range-oriented.

So Issodon can take Storm of Fire to make Sternguard with special issue bolters AP-3 on a 5+ if you use the stratagem? Or Iron Resolve to help with his lack of Invuln?

*Cue manical laughter*
