1 Super-heavy with 9 hull points or more from the following:

Titans

Ordinati

"Imperial Super-heavy vehicles and Flyer units from Forge World's wider Imperial Armour range such as Imperial Armour: Apocalypse or Imperial Armour: Aeronautica, which do not already have an era-specific counterpart listed in a Horus Heresy supplement." - with upgrade limitations

or 1-2 Super-heavy vehicles of the same unit type with 8 hull points or less, from:

Imperial Knight variants

Mechanicum-indentured knight variants in the Mechanicum Taghmata red book

Imperial Super-heavy vehicles/Flyers as above

or 1-3 Flyers with up to 3 hull points each, or one with 4+ hull points, or a single Super-heavy Flyer (can't be one already available in the list).  This one should refer to the same line about Imperial Super-heavy vehicles, etc., but it doesn't so I've seen one crazy dude try to justify using the rules for a Tau Manta.  Don't be that guy.

The Legiones Astartes book came out shortly after and was a little clearer about which SH tanks you could use and a lot of players just use that list.

carlisimo has it right. If it’s the War Machine Detachment you’re looking at in particular, then these are the options for Mechanicum...

You can take the 1-2 of the following Walkers:

- Indentured Knight Paladin

- Indentured Knight Errant

- Indentured Knight Warden

- Indentured Knight Gallant

- Indentured Knight Crusader

- Indentured Knight Styrix

- Indentured Knight Magaera

- Indentured Cerastus Knight-Lancer

- Indentured Cerastus Knight-Castigator

- Indentured Cerastus Knight-Acheron

- Mechanicum Cerastus Knight-Atrapos

- Acastus Knight-Porphyrion.

Alternatively, you can take 1-2 of the following vehicles:

- Macharius Heavy Tank

- Macharius Vanquisher

- Macharius Vulcan

- Macharius Omega

- Crassus Armoured Assault Transport

- Praetor Armoured Assault Launcher

- Dominus Armoured Siege Bombard

- Minotaur

No, it’s not. It’s a 5HP Tank (Heavy). It’s strange that it’s on the allowed list too, as technically you can only take “1-2 Super-heavy vehicles of the same unit type...”

Pretty sure you just roll with it though - Forge World be crazy! Maybe we’ll see an FAQ one day - it is a Titanic vehicle in 8th Ed, so it makes sense to treat it as a proper Super-heavy in 1st Edition Heresy.

This is Hesh's list. Pretty much all relevant still.

On one of the most recent Eye of Horus Podcasts, Tim & Michael discuss their unofficial FAQ with Ryan from Radio Free Isstvan. They bring up Lords of War a few times, including the list I mentioned previously, and it is pretty much the simplest and fairest way to run them (until we get an official FAQ).

Thats really concise, thanks. I like the idea of running a Dominus with Caaleb babysitting it. I might hold off until the new rulebook launches as I don't want to sink money into a model with out of print rules just yet.
