I don't think so for the books of Lee Lightner.

The first mention of the Spear of Russ is from Grey Hunter From William King.

I'll be at the Horus Heresy Weekender this february and I can't wait to grab a copy of Wolfsbane and read it to see the story behind this famous spear.

There are also some revelations for the TS players

So Iskaar is still around and kicking? thats awesome, I'd love to see him become a character with rules as loyal sons.

Right, but is this like a ten thousand year later tie in to the Battle of Prospero game, or is this meant to be the reboot of the old 13th Company story from the Black Crusade lore?

I think it is an addition. The SW of the 13th co were spotted in the gathering storm saving other worlds in the cadian system and saving Mechanicus outposts from chaos. THeres more to this that I hope is revealed

It is the direct following of the Scouring of Prospero.

The 13th Company from the old Black Crusade lore is retconned I think.

The only thing that we have is :

Oups, I didn't read the first volume of Gathering Storm. Good news if other marines from the 13th exited at this occasion.

With regards Lee Lightner and Rune Priests

Hidden Content
There was a rune priest with Bulveye, for it was him who opened the gate for Ragnar to get back to the mortal realm with the spear of russ, and he was seen at the gate saying farewell, before going back in to join the rest of the 13th company in the warp. In the old eye of terra campaign which introduced the 13th company, they had rune priests with teir own special power called "gate" which teleported te rune priest and a chosen unit pretty much anywhere they wanted on the battlefield. Was awesome

I don't think it has been retconned, considering that Legends of the Dark Millennium: Space Wolves has been pretty recent and set up some flags for the upcoming Curse of the Wulfen. I'd be more inclined to say that there were few Rune Priests that a) didn't turn feral and b) survived, or even c) were "capable" of handling portals.

Besides, we've only seen a few of the 13th Great Company in books, while we know from campaign supplements that there were a whole bunch spread around during the 13th Black Crusade, some of which probably had Priests with them.

I hope these loyal TS find a place in the current 40K universe and on the tabletop. To the point of earning the respect and acceptance they deserve from both the wolves and the imperium as a whole. While also finding some peace/common ground or forgiveness towards the wolves from the tragedy that was prospero. Edited by MaveriK

Iskaar Is set till find a way out of the changing, and also to fight his primarch by any means.

In the mean time he will search the portal system for any more of his brothers.

If ahriman can either find a way to stop the changing, or iskaar, ahriman and the help of yvraine find a way to stop it then iskaar and the loyal sons may leave the portal system and fight Magnus. Which would be friggin amazing.

I believe the portal system is inside of tzeentch maze which goes any where and any time

They can either join the Grey Knights, Deathwatch and or a special task force/splintered unit for the Blood Ravens?

Guys, guys, guys... They solve the Rubric problem and escape the portal, back in M37. Seeking to re-integrate with the Imperium, they masquerade as a Chapter of the Adeptus Astartes and call themselves the Blood Ravens.

You're welcome.

Agreed, I really think they should have made him Loremaster/Head of IP  when Alan stepped down. He was instrumental in shaping the game into what it is today, and I can't really think of anyone left at the company that could do a better job tbh.

Speaking of Sortiarius; Isnt planet of the Sorcerers IN the prospero system? adjacent to Prospero?

So if thats true; does that mean Magnus AND a planet full of god-level sorcerers missed the space-wolfery going on in their home system?  Or am I missing a piece of that puzzle?

No, you're perfectly right. The planet of Sorcerers is in the Prospero system but not too close to it.
