I was taking a look at the Dead Walk Again stratagem, do I get a new Poxwalker when a model is slain from any unit within 7 inches or does the removed model have to literally be within 7 inches?

So if I cause a few casualties to a unit that is only 5 inches away but my opponent removes only models at the back of the unit that are 8 inches away I get nothing?

After reading through I say its the latter. The rule is talking about models in 7", not model in a unit within 7". Not very useful in the approach, but very good once you are in.

That is what I fear, I just hoped it was bad wording on GW part as that makes it a lot less useful.

Cheers for the help and advice guys, I will keep it in mind for the future, unfortunately I will have to come up with an alternative tactic for my game tonight as I had just assumed it worked the first way until I went back for second read of it, my plan won't work now.

You really use it on your own units. 20 walkers screened by 20 cultists with that strat and the cloud of flies going makes them not shootable

You can also use plague bearers as a screening unit for your poxwalkers and still benefit from dead walk again as they are also keyword infantry.
