Withershadow
Meh... I still think it is good for charging units. It has to do with unit placement. Put him up front with 2-3 models in front of him for ablative wounds. Move him up, advance him. Then charge with the squad behind him. This could work pretty good. Or you could use that unit that can take wounds for characters. That might even be better. Problem is, you advance the character but the squad fails its charge and stays behind. Dead character. However is it really that bad? A 32mm base is 1.26”, melee range is 1”. Is the character is on the same starting line as the squad, they can engage enemies up to 8.25” away and remain in range of the banner. Forgive I'm slow but I'm not sure what you're saying here... and even in a perfect world setting where the enemy unit is perfectly placed in a line, your unit and character are perfectly placed in a line, and there's no terrain (this all never happens) ...the banner is still only 6" range. NTaW
^ in the instance when he just set up 9.0001" away coming from Reserve this is a pretty moot point, but advancing up this could be useful. Chaplain Gunzhard
Hah yeah well... ok "so you're saying there's a chance?!?" ...this is not something you can count on, I'm gonna say, probably ever? ...I mean if all the stars are perfectly aligned with his unit placement, your unit placement and the terrain, it's good to know I guess.
