Captain Korvydae? Arms and head are separate so there's room for a little customisation.

Sticking to the 'correct' pads is going to be a bit dull for Captain imo and HQs generally have leeway for unique, blingy pads. I'd skip the studded one at least.

The Sternguard and Vanguard kits have some bling encrusted mk. VI legs. Those kits could also provide you with cool pads, there's a few that are sort of up-armoured versions of the smooth mk. VI pad; they have a mk.III top part but no rim on the bottom and part way up the side

I know it isn't the same as building one from scratch, but are you aware of the "master of recruits," captain from the masters of the chapter box? He's got the corvus armour (bar helmet, although one can be put on) a big swooshy cape Space Marine Captains love to wear, and a (IMO) kickass pose.
