Boldthreat
The other day I came across Rathamanti's excellent Emperor's Spears army: http://www.bolterandchainsword.com/topic/334362-emperors-spears-wip-army-log/page-4?hl=%2Bemperors+%2Bspears&do=findComment&comment=4908891 Specifically his Roboute Guilliman model stood out as really neat. Instead of Guilliman he is using 3 Primaris models to represent said character. This got me to thinking about Pedro Kantor and how I want to utilize him in my Crimson Fists army but im hesitant to buy his model because... well I want to do an all Primaris army and I am stubbornly sticking to that ideal. Here is my attempt (forgive the poor picture quality and incomplete state of said model): The idea was two bolt carbines would together represent Dorn's Arrow. The old fashioned Power Axe a replacement for the Power Fists (I also had a Thunder Hammer but the Axe just looked better) and the Ancient's Banner could represent the Oath of Rynn aura. My only worry is the base. Unlike Guilliman, Kantor is not supposed to be on a bigger base like this... and I do not have any experience in playing something like this and do you forsee this being an issue? I have a smaller base... but it would force the characters to be facing away from each other back to back... I just like this pose better. What do you think... would you have a problem with this? And for the fluff guys like myself... this is just to represent a Company Captain using Kantor's Rules. I absolutely would not even consider replacing our beloved Pedro. The individual models for reference. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/342276-pedro-kantor-idea/ Share on other sites
Kisada
Hmmm ... because of aura abilities would larger base be perceived as "gaming" the system? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/342276-pedro-kantor-idea/#findComment-4959394 Share on other sites
Boldthreat
That is my fear as well. It's why I have failed to just glue them on it already lol. I do not want to be seen as gaming anything. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/342276-pedro-kantor-idea/#findComment-4963074 Share on other sites
Acebaur
Any reason not to use like a TDA power fist on a single model instead of 2 on a base? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/342276-pedro-kantor-idea/#findComment-4972397 Share on other sites
Toomanyprojects
Measure from the centre of the base when doing the aura :) and get your opponents permission before you play. After that point, it’s just a good idea :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/342276-pedro-kantor-idea/#findComment-4972447 Share on other sites
d36williams
There's several versions of Pedro Kantor done with Primaris bodies. His fist and Dorn's Arrow actually translate well to the Primaris body. I found a bunch of examples on Crimson Fists Tactics FB page and put them in this imgur slide show -https://imgur.com/gallery/b4QrCLK here is an example Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/342276-pedro-kantor-idea/#findComment-5203570 Share on other sites

Skorp
I like the smaller Pedro until he actually becomes a Primaris marine. But I do have some extra finecast bits from getting some bubbles in my first purchase. Really like the one Liberame posted. Eib.Almera
I love these Kantor conversions. But I wonder if Kantor would take the risk of becoming Primaris at this moment in time. (I haven't read the latest White Dwarf yet.) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/342276-pedro-kantor-idea/#findComment-5231665 Share on other sites
