Question for anyone that bought the Collectors Editon Codex.

Question for anyone that bought the Collectors Editon Codex in the US.

 

Was it shippped in it's own box to protect it inside the shipping box or was it just shipped in a shipping box?

 

Just curious, I got my regular codex today from another retailer and it was all smashed up in shipping and I'm tempting myself to just buy the collectors editon. But would rather it not get all smashed up.

I got mine yesterday. It was shipped in a cardboard box with no extra protection. 

Mine was not damaged at all.

Had mine delivered to the store, and it was just by itself (along with my dice, cards and lieutenant) in a polythene bag - and one of the corners was bashed, not badly but enough to peeve me off for spending the additional money. There's no extra protection between the collectors and regular editions.

Gotcha, thanks guys. I'll just get my regular edition replaced. If this collectors edition had been like the 7th ed one I would have gotten one.

Mine came wrapped in packing material (the big air bag things that come in Amazon boxes).  I had ordered the collector's edition & the hardcover 40k rulebook and both orders came together in one box.

Just call Customer Support. They are great guys there. I had issues with my codex (not Dark Angels) after a few months of not even being read (since I got the iPad version for the reading,) and Customer Support rectified my issue. 

 

So I recommend calling them and letting them know your codex was damaged when you got it.

I can second great customer support. I had some damage happen to my crusader case while moving countries, and they just sent me a whole new one free of charge

 I agree. GW has really good customer support if your order is damaged.
