Marshal van Trapp
I recently came into position of a burning of Prospero box and was wondering if the newer terminator arms fit on tartaros pattern terminators. I was hoping to convert them into blightlord terminators for my upcoming plaque themed death guard army and was looking to simply swap the powerfist arms for some of my sword/axe arms I have laying around Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/342621-modern-indominus-terminator-arms-on-tartaros-termintors/ Share on other sites
Major_Gilbear
I think they'd fit, although they may need a little plasticard shim or some greenstuff. ...But that said, if you already have the Tartaros models and the axe/sword arms in your possession, can you not just do a dry fit and see for yourself? Marshal van Trapp
I suppose laying around is the wrong term, they are buried somewhere in one of my boxes and don't have one handy to dry fit, also I literally just got the box yesterday so the terminators are totally unassembled. That said do you think the more more modern arms would look out of place on tartaros pattern terminators? I just can't wrap my brain around how they would look on them. I would obviously shave down the shoulders to accommodate the tartaros pads but are they a bit too different looking? Major_Gilbear
Probably not a massive visual difference if you keep the Tartarus pads. NovemberIX
Indomitus arms would need to be modified to fit onto a tartaros body, the shoulder portion is much larger on the indomitus than on the tartaros, there's also minor differences in length and overall thickness. The main issue is that where the arm connects to the body, on the tartaros it's the thickness of the arm itself, and is more or less shaped to fit flush in curves, whereas the indomitus connects flat at the shoulder. Tartaros pads would fit without much, if any, modification necessary though. Marshal van Trapp
So it sounds like this is doable with just a bit of modification to the arm awesome Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/342621-modern-indominus-terminator-arms-on-tartaros-termintors/#findComment-4966537 Share on other sites
klisof
You could cut the hands off the indomitus and tartaros and just swap the weapons/hands around. Not sure if that will be more or less work than modifying the arm at the shoulder Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/342621-modern-indominus-terminator-arms-on-tartaros-termintors/#findComment-4966745 Share on other sites

Not sure if that will be more or less work than modifying the arm at the shoulder The problem is tartaros terminators have powerfists which cannot be handswapped,it is actually easier to just swap out the whole arm rather than find a way for them to hold a power sword/axe in their powerfist Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/342621-modern-indominus-terminator-arms-on-tartaros-termintors/#findComment-4966755 Share on other sites
