tychobi
Hello! I'm looking to make an outrider detachment with 3 cyberwolves led by. . . .? I dunno! They are really there to take up space in my back field and get cheeky charges in and around my Death Company drops ( I play blood angels mostly). I have a box of grey hunters I was poaching for parts and a few old space wolf terminators. I like to convert. What hq would you all recommend for a guest appearance among your red armored cousins? I have extra wolf models as well. . . TiguriusX
I made that exact detachment and it is led by a wolf guard battle leader with jump pack, thunder hammer and storm shield. The reroll to wound helps his TH and he is a potent melee threat Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/342678-im-here-to-steal-your-puppies/#findComment-4967291 Share on other sites
Kasper_Hawser
My recommendations: 1) Wolf Lord on Bike. A bit expensive, but he can hold your backline better and FASTER than a jump pack character. These days I find the 14" + 6+ advance to be really useful last minute objective grabber. 2) Rune priest on bike with either Jaws of the World Wolf for potential BIG mortal wounds or Tempest Wrath to debuff units with -1 to hit. That way he can go with your army to debuff, smite or jaws. I recommend Tempest Wrath as it is more generally useful UNLESS he has a lot of slow units in which Jaws would be better, if a bit unreliable due to high warp charge. 3) As per Tigurius, WGBL with either Frost Sword or if you can spare points, thunderhammer. Reason I put it last is that he isn't really buffing anyone but himself, and is slower than a bike character.
