Commissar K.
Lastly, regardless of it being WYSIWYG, if I was a Nurgle player I'd go for this set up 100%http://s3-eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/tgacommunity/monthly_2017_12/image.png.53691de791793b97d5d093cef161a443.png Sword and parry dagger for the win! http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-TiTNw0slpVA/TeZXZm-x6mI/AAAAAAAABrQ/W71og6oddIc/s1600/grassi+2.jpg Edited December 27, 2017 by Commissar K. bozo69pd and N1SB 2 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/342690-new-nurgle-model/page/2/#findComment-4968712 Share on other sites
bozo69pd
Exactly what I was thinking for Looks Commisar K. Dual wielding looks way cooler... however, I suspect it would be more efficient to have either a scourge (pistol weapon) or bell and 1 blade. I doubt we would be using both attacks with 2 blades. I may go with rule of cool though anyways. I am pretty sure he is on a 130 mm base. When you look at Mortarions base compared to imperial knight base, the 130 mm is much much wider (like in this shot here). Let's face it a GUO is the widest monster in the 40k universe. Look of cool is way more important! The alternative option is the Bell and Flail, I think the Bell will also do something akin to what it does in AoS, there it adds 3" to charge moves, for 40K I expect a re-roll for failed charges. Yeah more rumours confirm it's 130mm and else it would actually be not so big, smallest of the Greater Daemons and now it makes much more sence. He's still a whole lot lower due to not having wings and sitting but in terms of mass he's big papa ;) More great news followed! We allready know quite a bit for Age of Sigmar thanks to them getting their own armybook. But for 40K we indeed will see these two character heralds, very funny names too! Shockmaster
I think I will go with the head of the first version, armed with the bell but not sure about the left hand though. With some greenstuff and cutting I also think it's possible to replicate the orginal awesome Great Unclean One art :D Cheers, DuskRaider and totgeboren 2 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/342690-new-nurgle-model/page/2/#findComment-4968990 Share on other sites
Shockmaster
The more I look at it the more I dislike the dagger, so it will be the Flail in the left hand for me, can't wait to get this model. Lord_Caerolion
Yeah, I'm thinking either flail and bell, or maybe the staff/stick if that's an option. DuskRaider
When I first saw the head with the tongue, I thought the giant eye was a nose and he had tiny little beady eyes on either side. Now I can't unsee it. Emicus 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/342690-new-nurgle-model/page/2/#findComment-4969111 Share on other sites

DuskRaider
Horticulous slimux ...(the hearld on a giant slug) is getting 40k rules now it appears! I hope its a psychic racing snail that can keep up with Mort! I'd expect him to move 5-6" and have rules similar to AoS. So: "In Death There is Life: All friendly <NURGLE> Units within 7" heal by 1 wound each time a unit is wiped out within 7" of Slimux." "Beast Handler: Re-roll failed charges for Beasts of Nurgle within 7" of Slimux. Re-roll hits of 1 for Beasts of Nurgle within 14" of Slimux." And uhh... that's it. That's all he does in AoS. Hopefully he gets better. Commissar K.
Yeah I think that for 40K he will be quite a bit different. Applies to pretty much all Daemons. The AoS power level of Daemons is much higher by comparison as it is in 40K but then again you also pay more for them in AoS so there is that too :) Looking forward to the Nurgle spoil today! As before I dig the AoS new models a lot. Will stay with Khorne but am very happy for the Nurgle players. General Strike
This combined with talking to my local GW owner did it, I bought a nurgle start collecting box and had him give me some painting ideas. I'm sold on Nurgle. Commissar K.
Just wish Glotkin were 40k Start playing AoS, Daemon heavy so you have just him as an excuse guy. 40Ks rules are better but crazy AoS combos are fun too. You're a bad influence Hahaha, well its how I ended up there too. A fan of Khorne, Tzeentch or Nurgle Daemon lines just has to make a really small step to play both systems now. In addition the conversion bits found in Wrathmonger/Skullreaper and Blightkings boxes are just too good for 40K too. Wether you want Chaos Spawn, converted Daemonic Heralds or CSM characters there is little you cant do with some AoS kits.
