LutherMax
Eldar jetbikes! Specifically pesky Farseers and other Psyker HQs and Elites mounted on jetbikes. Culexus assassin is good for creating an 18” protective bubble around some units but useless offensively due to the jetbikes incredible mobility! What in our arsenal would you guys take to neutralise this enemy? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/342960-tips-for-dealing-with/ Share on other sites
MajorNese
Biker captain. Unless they hop on terrain, anything in range to smite will be in range for the thunder hammer and 4 bolters' rapid fire. Maybe include a missile launcher dev, to flakk-smite back. What in our arsenal would you guys take to neutralise this enemy? Missile launchers should work with the flak missile stratagem. Hellfire rounds with your heavy bolters should be good too. Plasma cannons have worked for me in the past. Basically... range and the ability to do 2 dmg per wound. Just be happy they spent their points inefficiently on bikes rather than adding more dark reapers! CCE1981
Inceptors take a big footprint with an 18” range, good movement and a ton of shooting. Redemptor Dreadnoughts have that Plasma Eradicator that can do a big number on eldar bikes. If you embrace the Repulsor (commit to it and get 2 or more), it has good speed Power of the Machine Spirit and will throw enough shots to not care about a minus to hit. I am in the process of building two Redemptors and have one Repulsor currently still in its box... Not sold on Inceptors so far (model-wise I mean), but I do appreciate their mobility. CCE1981
I love the huge faux - blocky look of them. I was very happy when they came down to a reasonable price for them. Interestingly right where I thought they should be. Inceptors can DS inside the 12" -1 to-hit-bubble most Eldar are rocking now, and if not cautiously positioned, next to the character. The firepower should be sufficient, I mostly killed dark reapers with inceptors. Beware: Eldar's -1 to hit bubble is calculated per model within 12", not (as with everyone else) unit in 12". Thereby having only one model in 12" disables the RG bubble, but disables the Eldar bubble only for that one model.
