olcottr
Do you use washes on your standards and if so, what color? Do you use several different washes, one for each color on the standard, or one overall wash on the whole thing? For reference, mine are red and blue with white trim, with a symbol consisting of the skull (rakarth flesh) and laurels (castellan green). Kinstryfe
On large, flattish pieces like standards (and even some stuff like tank paneling), occasionally I'll wash the whole thing, but it's almost always done as a prelude to painting it in earnest. It hits all the deepest recesses and kinda acts like a guide while I shade things with paints. If I am washing after painting, it's usually targeted toward specific parts, like laurels or skulls, that are 3d molded. olcottr 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/343012-companyplatoon-standards-to-wash-or-not-to-wash/#findComment-4974520 Share on other sites
