MadGreek
OK, I know this is probably basic, but I don't understand how this works. What does "3+/3++/5+++ " mean? I get the first 3+ is a save, like an armor save. If an attack bypasses armor you might have an invulnerable save. I assume that is the second save. Also I believe you cannot use both, so if you fail the armor save you cannot them roll the invulnerable save (true?). What could the THIRD save be? And why do I see varied numbers of pluses on various posts? For instance this one has +/++/+++ - some I see are just +/+ or ++/++. I don't play the game often (rarely), just like to build and paint, but I hate that I don't understand this. Lion's Crown
+ save ++ invulnerable save +++ is "feel no pain" like powers I guess Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/343063-rules-save-question/#findComment-4975390 Share on other sites
Quixus
+ save ++ invulnerable save +++ is "feel no pain" like powers I guess Spot on. You are right, MadGreek, if you failed an armour save you cannot take an invulnerable save. you only roll one, the better one. Those FNP like "saves" however aren't really saves because they let you ignore wounds that have already been caused. As such they can only be taken after a failed save.
