Gentlemanloser
How fast do you count as having moved, if you deploy from Reserves? Specifically, if an Eldar Cobra is deployed from reserves, how fast has it moved for the Invulnerable save it gets? Eddie Orlock
Specifically, if an Eldar Cobra is deployed from reserves, how fast has it moved for the Invulnerable save it gets?I suspect that it doesn't get a save. While the reinforcement side bar on pg 177 says it counts as having moved, the Cobra datasheet makes specific reference to the immediately preceding movement phase which returns no value. Related question would be what save does it get at the start of the game. So, I think the answer is, it counts as having moved infinitesimally, and so gets no save. Gentlemanloser
I think if the Eldar player is going second and the Cobra is shot at in the enemy first turn, it wouldn't get an invulnerable save. The reinforcement rule muddies things by making the tank count as moving. Toasterfree
it moved 0 since its previous movement phase coming in from reserves. so it gets 0. Jolemai
If I may, what rule allows it to deploy in Reserves? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/343141-cobra-and-arriving-from-reserves/#findComment-4977904 Share on other sites
Gentlemanloser
Toaster, if it counts as moving, how can it move 0. Which would mean it hasn't moved? Counts as moving means it's moved some amount. The question is how much. Not sure. I'll ask our eldar player. Edit. The Cloudstrike strat. Eddie Orlock
If I may, what rule allows it to deploy in Reserves? While I like the direction of the inquiry there are scenarios that just instruct the players to place things in reserve, and many of them use similar language. Perhaps the Eldar player generated a replacement in a game with the 'Sustained Assault' rule. The reinforcement sidebar on pg 177 reads to be rather agnostic that the mid-turn set up unit counts having moved regardless of what allowed them to be in reserve in the first place.
