Captain General
I've been working on my Apoc game board(s) named "the wall" for some time now and would like to post pics of what I have done so far, but, after reading the 'how to post pics" (sic) thread, I'm at a loss as to how to do it... being computer "challenged". Anyone out there willing to help me? Thanks, Stephen Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/343285-the-wall-40k-apoc-terrain-build/ Share on other sites
Quixus
Please go into more details what is unclear about the instructions. I'm not sure, if you are talking about Posting and Hosting images at the B&C but that should be quite self explanatory. If after reading it you still have questions, don't hesitate to ask. Spinsanity
As Quixus said, a bit more info could help. First of all, you need to have your pictures posted online somewhere. Could be on the BnC, on imgur, a payed Photobucket account, or elsewhere as long as they can be linked to... Have you been able to get that far yet? Captain General
I've been wanting to build a 40k city wall for some time and finally got the courage to start cutting and gluing. The wall is 12' long, in total, on a 6' x 12' table. There 6 wall/tower sections and 1 gateway section. The walls are 14" tall, the towers 19" the tallest point on the gateway is 41". I have 3 12'x6' tables set side by side with a 2' walkway in between for the wall and attckers set up and 2 12'x6' set end to end for my city of Kearnague section behind the wall. The game is setup for an Ork attack on the wall/city with IG, SM and AdMech defenders, all of which I have painted up... well, most are painted, WIP. Spinsanity
Great, that's a start. While I don't use imgur myself (with my own domain, I can host my pics when I need to), it's relatively straightforward. Find a pic you want to display, get the image's direct link (the link to the actual .jpg / .gif / .png file) and paste it into the editor here. So for example looking at the first pic in your galery, if I simply paste the image's URL between [ img ] and [ /img ] tags as follows: (img)https://i.imgur.com/XCxhlFg.jpg(/img)using [ and ] instead of ( and ) The board turns it into: [img=https://i.imgur.com/XCxhlFg.jpg] Which, in turns, gives us the following result (spoilered, here, simply because it's a large picture...) + Edit: Dammit, the editor always shrinks my tags automatically... Why bother with tags if they don't work!? Captain General
Thanks, but, paste it where "into the editor"? I went to {edit} but could not find where to paste an image. Quixus
Under more reply options there either is an image button or you could simply type the code spinsanity typed into the text field. the edit function (even the simple one) offers the same options. Kurgan the Lurker
Captain General here is what you want your posts to look like: [img=https://i.imgur.com/XCxhlFg.jpg] So take the link from your image at the imgur site: https://i.imgur.com/XCxhlFg.jpg and place it inside IMG brackets: [img=LINK GOES HERE] It should look like this when you do that and hit POST: Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/343285-the-wall-40k-apoc-terrain-build/#findComment-4987210 Share on other sites
