duz_
Looking slick! :tu: I was tempted to do my Scions similarly coloured but went with the red + white to tie it in with the rest of my forces. I was considering repainting them though ... ;) Dont forget to vow any new units in the painting challenge! :D Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/343298-betrayers-501st-crimson-wolves/#findComment-4981686 Share on other sites
Pearson73
Really liking that darker red. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/343298-betrayers-501st-crimson-wolves/#findComment-4981736 Share on other sites
Bjorn Firewalker
Good-looking models, but you should change the regiment name to avoid confusion with the Red Wolves Space Marine Chapter. Are "Crimson Wolves", "Vermilion Wolves", "Fire Wolves", or "Blood Wolves" acceptable names? betrayer41
Crimson wolves.... even better! Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/343298-betrayers-501st-crimson-wolves/#findComment-4981741 Share on other sites
WarriorFish
Looking good, the duller colours work well together and the similarity to the classic Inquisition scheme helps give them an elite look :tu: Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/343298-betrayers-501st-crimson-wolves/#findComment-4981775 Share on other sites

betrayer41
Thanks for the feedback everyone. It’ll take a while until I get the techniques on this right. I’m used to doing Metallics. I’ve ordered two getting starter boxes as well as wheel replacements for the taurox treads walter h 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/343298-betrayers-501st-crimson-wolves/#findComment-4984650 Share on other sites
betrayer41
Struggling hard here, first time in years and years and years not doing power armor. Wasn't happy with the scheme and looking for ideas/inspiration for a new scheme. I want a more elite look. WarriorFish
What don't you like about the scheme? It's hard to look elite in colour schemes, maybe brighter colours to show they don't need cover or something? betrayer41
Here's another WIP mostly for base colors haven't done details or something. I guess elite wasn't the right work, more covert or spec ops, like an elite task force rather than like an elite royal guard or something haha. Haha i always do this try 184748390303 different schemes then one just clicks Edited January 26, 2018 by betrayer41 WarriorFish 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/343298-betrayers-501st-crimson-wolves/#findComment-4994415 Share on other sites
WarriorFish
In that case sounds like a lot of off blacks might be the scheme for you :) duz_ 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/343298-betrayers-501st-crimson-wolves/#findComment-4994499 Share on other sites
Spyboy
What about a paint scheme similar to the night lords? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/343298-betrayers-501st-crimson-wolves/#findComment-4994554 Share on other sites
Bjorn Firewalker
The armor and uniform colors look great, but it's also eye-catching. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/343298-betrayers-501st-crimson-wolves/#findComment-4994873 Share on other sites
