So just reading my shiny new daemons codex and in order to take the warlord traits/relics your warlord must have the Daemons faction keyword, looking at An'ggrath's datasheet he does not have this keyword, so he basically can't be your warlord if you want to use the new stuff. This has put a huge spanner in the works for running his as a super heavy auxillary with my world eaters and having him give access to the daemons strats as technically he's not Daemons faction. Assuming this will get changed at some point but it's a major pain right now

This issue was fixed by the FAQ here:  https://www.forgeworld.co.uk/resources/PDF/Downloads/40K_8th_ed_Update_Imperial_Armour_Index_Forces_of_Chaos_ver_1.0.pdf

That said, I'm interested to hear how effective the Daemon lords are with the codex. I haven't had much success with them since the cost increase in Chapter Approved.

Thanks for bringing that to my attention. Big relief.

In a points game they are still well and truly over costed, well An'ggrath being almost purely a melee monster means he is very susceptible to achieving nothing (happened to me last night)

I am using him in a power level event at Warhammer world so the points increase isn't a concern at the moment.

Although there appears to be no restriction on denizens of the warp, and locus of rage will apply to him, and aura's affect the source model as long as they have the same keyword, so for 2cp he is deepstriking and rerolling charges.
