Pallan is just going to keep advancing and shooting, in whatever rule magic you need to work.  Typical Star Leopard tactic, fire and advance till you can hit them with something.

Edit: Question after TBTL's last post, does Tearing only activate on your first hit with a bolter? Or all your hits? (Doesn't really matter in this case as the +9 is enough for every hit to wound regardless, but wondering for the future?)

it's fine man :) , there is an OBTUSE number of weirdly worded and super specific rules in this game xD

 

Just a quick heads up as well, when attacking a hoard, you don't need to worry about determining hit location. When it comes to hoards, either attacking or getting attacked by, it's always resolved against the chest armour & toughness.
