I'm looking for a combination of high strength and number of shots ideally so that I can add some decent firepower for my inquisitors. For example, I was looking at Kastelan Robots and they seem like they can lay some good fire down. How many units are we looking at? Because if your looking for multiple, I'd suggest 1 10 girl dominion squad, with 4 meltas and a combi melta, and then some Scions. In terms of cost efficiency it’s laughably bad though, particularly after the nonsensical points hike in Chapter Approved. 40Kcollector Posted January 25, 2018 Share Posted January 25, 2018 There is the Rapier Laser Destroyer at 88 points with a strength 12 AP -4 with D6 damage. Jokaero used to be fairly good in the 7th, I had 3 attached to my shooty inquisitor, and the rolls on that table for upgrades were not bad. Haven’t had the chance to use them in the 8th yet. You can do it without Cawl, but it's the re-rolls to hit that push it to the next level. That said, having the re-roll 1s from Canticles or a Dominus would be nearly as effective! I take 2x Neutron Laser - each has d3 S10 Ap-4 D6 damage (minimum 3 damage) - Messes up heavy tanks/TEQ no problem. and 1 with skyfire array - basically around 10 shots that will tear light armour/flyers/jump infantry/jetbikes to bits. With a data tether there is a 1CP strategem to up its BS by 2, so you can se that and its still hitting ground targets on a 2+ Take a techpriest with them for fixes and rerolls of 1 to hit.
