Lucerne
What's an economical, good looking way to get modelling chain for, say, bolter straps, or to decorate Marines with? I hear shops like Michaels will have model chain, but what scale should I be getting, and is there a particular brand or keyword to keep in mind? Tichinde
I just tend to judge by eye, use old chain from necklaces collected over the years. Use small clipper\pliars to get right length then carefully superglue, prime and paint. Hrolf the Cunning
I have a pack produced by the company Master Tools. It has two chain sizes with link dimensions of: - 1.5mm long x 0.8mm wide - 2mm long x 1.1mm wide I think the scale for infantry miniatures is pretty spot on. It seems to be pretty widely available online. https://www.sceneryworkshop.nl/universal-fine-chains-set-40cm-tr-06624.html Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/343867-infantry-scale-modelling-chain/#findComment-4996793 Share on other sites
Arkhanist
Greenstuff world do 1.5mm chain, which is a good size for standard minis. The 1.5mm is on the top, 3mm on the bottom. http://www.greenstuffworld.com/461-thickbox_default/hobby-chain-15-mm.jpg Lucerne 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/343867-infantry-scale-modelling-chain/#findComment-4996829 Share on other sites
