I fear my 40k hobby burnout hasn't eased up at all; I've sat down twice to work on my bloodthirster and nothing happens.

That's a shame, but if your not feeling it, it's better to go do something that you are wanting to do.

I'm having trouble too. I think I tried to bite more than I can chew here as an absolute n00b at modelling. I don't think that the bits I have fit so I just asked for something else that will hopefully look and fit better but I doubt it will arrive in time.

Maybe I should have waited for a troop-related challenge first, I guess.

Three days left and not only it's very doubtful that what I bought will arrive on time but it's also unlikely that I'd have time to even work on it so I have failed this one. :sad.:

All good dude. When we do Psykers next, you can have another crack @ Warlords, as it will reopen for the duration. We're looking @ June/July :tu:

Small doubt Grotsmasha: can we submit the completions throughout the 2nd of March, or is the challenge finished the moment the day starts? I should be able to finish my pledge by then, but knowing that I have Friday afternoon to tidy up, tweak small details and take the pictures would be a relief.

I, golfdeltafoxtrot, undertake the Warlords Challenge to build at least one Raven Guard Lieutenant by March 2nd 2018.

Photo of parts to follow once I’ve got them sorted. It’s my first time in one of these challenges, so hopefully I acquit myself well and don’t dishonour the Ravenspire.

Slowly getting there, still lots of sculpting to do, and Throne bless the cape that will cover most of the back so I don't need to touch up that part. Might probably redo the hammer head (again), as I'm having trouble making all sides regular and smooth with greenstuff, might try to make it from styrene, and just adding the final details with greenstuff.

Grotsmasha, do we need to complete the base to finish the pledge? And at what time on Friday 2nd does the challenge finish?

The base does not need to be completed. I'm @ GMT +10 and I'll be closing it first thing on my 3rd.

I, XenoMechanicum, undertake the Warlords Challenge to build one Necron Overlord by by March 2nd 2018!

I know I'm cutting it close but I luckily have all of tomorrow off! So with any luck I'll be sitting around waiting to submit my model after 24 hours have passed; I wanted to include a Chapter Master for my Helguard also but time just was not in my favor this month.

Obligatory pile-of-parts shot.

And then the completion shots.

It’s not the most complicated conversion in the world, and it certainly isn’t as awesome as some of the work on display, but I think I’m happy with it.

Very nice final piece!

But you didn’t use that classic old bolter??

Thanks frater.

I originally planned to remove the stock and use it as part of the lieutenant’s master-crafted bolter.

But then my idiot fingers dropped it and it disappeared.

Had to sort a stock from a Cadian lasgun in the end.

Hmm, shall I roll up exceptionally late and set up the challenge?

Why not? :wacko.:

I, Brother Cambrius, undertake the Warlords Challenge to build one Deathwatch Captain (as a Captain of the Legio Bolter and Chainsword) by March 2nd 2018!

It's gonna be from my Decimators chapter, so I got some scope for kitbashed uniqueness, since there's no rules for Watch Captain load outs afaik, I'm gonna have some fun with Rule of cool.

And completed.

Very happy with the kitbash, haven't done something this extensive in a long time.

The parts used were:

  • Chaos Backpack (trimmed to look like a heavier imperial pack. Been a fun method of conversion I've done for a few years)
  • Old Tactical Squad sergeant head
  • Rifle Scope
  • Adeptus Mechanicus Shoulder Pad (trimmed the cog to leave just the skull, to make the chapter symbol)
  • Chaos Marine right pistol arm
  • Combi Melta
  • Death Company chest armour
  • Deathwatch Shoulder pad
  • Captain's Bionic Arm w Chainsword
  • Assault Marine Thunder Hammer
  • Deathwatch Thunder Hammer Head
  • Devastator Squad legs
  • Purity Seal
  • Combat Blade

Looks like I'll be a little short, unfortunately - turns out, planning a wedding is, like, work or something? Who knew. Anyhow, big thanks to Grotsmasha for running this. I've had bits of my warlord sitting around for ages, and this Challenge has put me right on the edge of finally finishing up. It's a great motivator.

Well, :censored: . I completely forgot to  upload the pictures of my conversion and it will be at least an one and a half hours before I can do so.

You know what, I seem to have gone to work and forgotten to close the Challenge.......

.....looks like everyone gets an 8 hr reprieve....

if one were to be interested in taking part in the pysker challenge, but didn't want to wait till it started (the last of the bits I wanted for my new libby conversion arrived today) would it be alright to build it now and post the pictures when the challenge started, provided one could prove they spent no more then a month building said conversion?

If you don't tell me, I won't know ;)

Hah! Appreciated, but I, at least, would need a few more days (greenstuff's a harsh medium).  You're a gentleman, hope this lets some others finish up in time for the deadline.
