Redking
I was watching a video from Next Level Painting for Custodes and really liked the gold that he was using. They look a lot richer than Retributor Armor. He referred to the base gold as Black Gold (the label read Negro Gold). However, when I looked at their website, I couldn’t find that color. I did see Necro Gold, but I’m not sure if it is the same. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=tV6tXIWqdLc Is anyone familiar with the paints? Did they change their paint line or names? The other question, what would a good Vallejo equivalent be for their Black Gold and Dwarvem Gold? Thanks. Bung
I have that bottle here and it says Negro Gold while the website shows it as Necro Gold. My guess is that there happened a typo during production. But Scale Colors have a code for their colors and on my bottle its SC-71 which is the same on the Scale website. I hope that will help you Major_Gilbear and Redking 2 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/344040-scale-75-paint-question/#findComment-5001447 Share on other sites
Udo
The Spanish title is Negro (Black) Gold, while the english is Necro Gold. Go figure. Personally I find Decayed metal far better than Necro Gold as a base for gold. Dwarven & Eleven Golds and Citrine Alchemy are stella though. Isengrin
On my bottle (product code SC-71) the label reads Negro Gold on the front and Oro Necrotico on the side...so, I don't know, maybe it depends on which language the label is in. I can't really say what the equivalents to those colours you've mentioned would be. I've got Vallejo's Old Gold which looks a bit similar to Scale75's Elven Gold with a slightly darker touch but it isn't as dark as Necro Gold. Dwarven Gold has a bit of a bronze look to it. But ever since I've first bought Scale colours I haven't touched anything else. They're glorious.
