Daemonic Icon - roll every phase?

Hi all,

 

Quick query - a daemonic icon allows you to regenerate d6 lost models when rolling a 1 in the morale phase - can you make a morale check in the morale phase even if you had lost no models that turn to try and get back models lost earlier? Came up in a recent game.

No, you may not:

In the Morale phase, starting with the player whose turn it is, players must take Morale tests for units from their army that have had models slain during the turn.

Daemonic Icon does not allow you to make a roll, if you otherwise could not.

Only units that have had slain models during that turn must take morale tests. I guess the only real danger is if the unit has a morale below 5, you could end up losing models. Edited February 15, 2018 by McElMcNinja
